Spice Stellar 445 With 4-Inch Display, Quad-Core SoC Launched at Rs. 5,299

Spice has launched its new 3G-enabled smartphone, the Stellar 445, at Rs. 5,299. The domestic manufacturer has announced that the new Stellar 445 will be available starting the first week of July (no specific date revealed).
The new Spice Stellar 445 comes with 3G network connectivity, which with the quad-core SoC can be considered the highlights of the device at this price. The smartphone comes with dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) functionality and supports 3G network on one SIM at a time. It runs Android 4.3 Jelly Bean out-of-the-box and features a 4-inch WVGA (480x800 pixels) display.
The Spice Stellar 445 is powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon (unspecified chipset) processor coupled with 512MB of RAM. It sports a 3.2-megapixel rear camera, while also housing a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera. It comes with 4GB of inbuilt storage which is further expandable via microSD card (up to 32GB).

Connectivity options on the Stellar 445 include 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth, GPRS/EDGE and A-GPS. The new budget smartphone is available in Black and White colour variants and is backed by a 1500mAh battery.
The Spice Stellar 445 also comes preloaded with some apps such as OLX, WhatsApp and Spice Cloud, which offers 2GB of free cloud storage.
Commenting on the launch, T M Ramakrishnan, CEO, Devices, Spice Retail Ltd, said, "This is the first 10.16 cm smartphone from Spice with a quad-core processor that enables multitasking and faster speed. The idea to empower every Indian through their smartphones has been our engine of growth and we have been working towards it by proliferating data services through our 3G enabled handsets."
Last month, Spice launched its first Android 4.4 KitKat-based smartphone, the Stellar 600, at Rs. 9,999.
